FOR an Aussie star who has made it big in Hollywood, what is there to worry about? Losing touch with home.
That concern has driven action film hunk Chris Hemsworth to head back to work Down Under after five years away.
The Thor star, 28, is the new ambassador for Foxtel - and he spent the last week shooting a commercial for the network in Sydney.
"I haven't done anything back here since Home and Away," Hemsworth told The Sunday Telegraph.
He left the soap in July 2007 - smashing into the big league with films such as The Avengers and Snow White And The Huntsman.
"It is a good opportunity to do something back here," he said of the Foxtel job - a role previously filled by fellow Aussie A-lister Hugh Jackman.
"I felt like I was only doing things outside of Australia and I was sort of losing touch with where I'm from."
While Hemsworth has seen his parents during his brief Sydney visit, wife Elsa Pataky and 10-week-old daughter India Rose stayed in London.
However, he's planning another trip to introduce the baby later this year.
"It was too hard to bring her back," he said. "I think we'll bring her back at Christmas time."
Hemsworth has work flooding in overseas, with sequels to Thor, Avengers and Snow White in the pipeline.
Nevertheless, he is really keen to make an Aussie movie.
"I would love to come back and shoot a film here."
